Our client, a leading building merchants, is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead their store in Bantry, West Cork. This role focuses on driving sales, managing people, and overseeing service, category, and department operations across the trade counter, yard, and retail offerings.As Branch Manager, you will be the key driver of the store’s success, fostering strong relationships with your team, customers, and suppliers while ensuring smooth operations in line with the company’s strategic goals.Responsibilities of this job:
- To implement retail priorities and effectively communicate targets and objectives
- To deliver the retail plan through your team, service, and product knowledge
- Lead and motivate your team through high levels of engagement and communications
- Analyse trading reports and react accordingly in order of achieving your store KPI’s, margin, and profitability
- Ensure that exceptional customer service is in place throughout the store
- Manage your P&L and ensure all department participation and margin is in line with store profitability
- To achieve stock control targets in line with company guidelines to prevent financial loss
- Implement change and proactive operational procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
Skills and experience required for this job:
- Builders’ providers/trade management experience essential
- Previous store management experience
- Strong leadership skills, people management, and customer engagement skills
- A proven track record in managing a successful team
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and energy
