This is an exciting opportunity for an individual wanting to continue or start a career in Business Analysis in a supportive, flexible and welcoming environment.

What are the key things we are looking for?

  • Experience of analysing and documenting processes and systems, recommending areas for improvement.
  • Experience of gathering requirements for new solutions.
  • Experience of implementing and embedding business change.
  • Experience or knowledge of a variety of business analysis tools, techniques and approaches.
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good communication skills including being able to clearly articulate information to stakeholders at all levels.

You don’t have to have been a formal Business Analyst to be considered for this role, we are happy to consider people who have the core skills above, some experience of analysis and are interested in a new career.

The types of projects you’ll be working on are delivering mostly digital projects to internal customers.  You’ll be working with a mixture of external suppliers, developers and project managers to deliver IT solutions to the University.  Sometimes we purchase off the shelf solutions, other times we are developing in house and on occasions it will be pure business change; but always we are aiming to improve things here at the University for our colleagues and students.

The PMO is on a journey of improvement too so there will be an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the University’s business analysis approach.

What is in it for you?

  • Annual incremental increase up to £36,023, with the opportunity to progress to £39,348
  • Up to 36 days of leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays and University closure days) rising to 41 total days after 5 years’ service
  • Attractive Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Access to a range of benefits including our Staff Retail Benefits Scheme
  • Wellbeing advice and support through our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Development support, with access to internal and external training with scope to gain a professionally recognised qualification
  • A friendly, inclusive and supportive culture and work environment

So, if you are interested and want to know more, please don’t hesitate to contact Michelle Walton, our PMO Lead at m.walton@[email protected] . Otherwise, please feel to directly apply by clicking this link.

We value diversity and wish to promote equality at all levels
