End Date: 31/01/2026Responsibilities. As part of the implementation of IT projects in the Customers, Markets & System Department, the consultant will be responsible for the following:
· Support the business in developing designs for new products and in driving the ongoing evolution of existing products.
· Define business expectations and model the information and the operational processes leading to the design or ongoing evolution of IT tools.
· Model the business data involved in development and evolution and accompany the development of an enterprise information model.
· Investigate and formalize data lineage to enforce consistent data governance.
· Foster data trust by defining and implementing data quality rules.
· Based on business needs, the consultant will analyse and describe the requirements for the solution.
· In close collaboration with a Product Owner employing agile/scrum methodology, the consultant will maintain the product backlog and help shaping its priorities.
· Validate the functional analysis supplied by IT to check that the proposed solution completely meets specifications.
· Coordinate the implementation of applications from different fields within cross-functional projects, assessing impacts and gap analysis.
· Validate implementations made at the end of each sprint by preparing test cases and running them.
· Support the business in specifying and running software validation tests (UAT) and you will coordinate integration tests within cross-functional projects.Requirements. · You have at least six years of relevant experience, or six years of experience in a similar role.
· You have an excellent command of Dutch and/or French and a good command of English.
· You have a degree in civil engineering or commercial engineering, a master’s degree in science or an equivalent degree.
· You have in-depth knowledge of business process modelling and data modelling (business information modelling).
· You have in-depth knowledge of writing and validating functional specifications.
· You have a thorough knowledge of agile/scrum methodology.
· You have excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
· You can work independently and efficiently; you take initiatives and you work in a solution-oriented manner.
· You have good project management skills.
· You are very customer-focused, flexible, and critically minded. You are a true team player.
· As a plus you have initial professional experience in the energy field.
