Contract Type: Full-time, Permanentπ§ Role DescriptionAs an Embedded Software Engineer at ALTEN Sophia Antipolis, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of embedded system development for high-impact projects across industries such as aerospace, automotive, telecommunications, or IoT.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams (hardware, system, test, and validation engineers) to design, implement, and validate robust embedded software solutions in real-time environments.You will have the opportunity to contribute to technically challenging projects, develop your expertise in embedded systems, and grow within an international and innovation-driven environment.π‘ Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze system and software specificationsDesign, develop, and debug embedded software in C/C++Integrate and test software components in real-time environmentsCollaborate with hardware and systems teams for seamless integrationContribute to documentation and continuous improvement processesEnsure compliance with coding standards, performance requirements, and safety constraintsQualificationsπ οΈ Required SkillsDegree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related fieldExperience or strong academic background in embedded software developmentProficiency in C and/or C++ programmingFamiliarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as Linux RT, Xenomai, or VxWorksBasic understanding of hardware/software integration, and experience with FPGA environments is a plusFluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plusβ¨ Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, or JiraExperience with debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)Understanding of communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART)Additional Informationπ© Why Join Us?β
