Offer DescriptionIRTA is currently seeking for remarkable, enthusiastic and ambitious Researchers of any nationality interested in developing and submitting collaborative applications for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action for Postdoctoral Fellowships in IRTA’s Agrifood topics.
This prestigious call grants successful researchers, from all over the world, the chance to boost their career by developing excellent research while providing interesting benefits regarding working conditions, training and mobility and collaborations.
One of the main objectives of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD. This can be achieved through developing core and advanced research skills, transferable skills (i.e., management), knowledge exchange and expanding a collaborative network.
Postdoctoral Fellowships can take place either in Europe (i.e., in an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe Associated Country) or in a Third Country not associated to Horizon Europe depending on the available schemes: European (12 to 24 months) or Global (24 to 36 months).

The mission of IRTA is to contribute to the modernisation, competitiveness and sustainable development of agriculture, food and aquaculture sectors, to provide healthy and high-quality foodstuffs to end consumers, and in general, to improve the well-being of the population. IRTA has also been committed to food safety and the safe processing of foodstuffs and, in general, to enhancing the health and global improvement of human well-being. The general objectives of IRTA are to promote research and technological development in agri-food, to facilitate the transfer of scientific findings, and to increase the value of its own technological advances whilst seeking the maximum coordination and collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Our R&D activities are conducted in 10 own centres and 6 experimental sites and farms throughout Catalonia. IRTA also participates in 2 centres in association with universities and other research organisations.

-In possession of PhD in the research topics of interest at IRTA
-Maximum 8 years FTE research experience after PhD. Exceptions are career breaks and work outside among others.
-Mobility rule: applicants can be of any nationality but should not have resided/main activity (working, studying) more than 12 months in the 36 months previous to the call deadline (from 12/09/2021 to 11/09/2024):
