The position is based in Neuilly-sur-Seine. Permanent contract to be filled as soon as possible.

In line with global sustainability vision of Sephora, you rally rhe organization of Sephora Collection to envision a more sustainable product development, sourcing and operations. You Builds brand’s comprehensive and coordinated global sustainability plan, including areas of focus, long term goals, and potential public-facing commitments

ABOUT SEPHORA Collection

Sustainability context

Sephora Collection, as a part of Sephora, is highly contributing to company’s sustainability performance. Since couple of years, the brand is putting in place the strategy of better environmental performance of the products while reducing impacts of its operations. This new position will allow to bring the company to next level of engagement with structured strategy, objectives and action plans involving all relevant functions.

This new position will benefit from the support of sustainability teams of Sephora as well as from Parfum & Cosmetic branch and the whole LVMH Group.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsibilities

-Action Planning & Execution
Translates our ambitions into an operational roadmap and develops the supporting functional business plans. 

Works closely with all teams related to product and operations as well as with Sephora’s Sustainability Team to propose strategies and present progress updates.  Prioritizes investments that balance strategic alignment, cost effectiveness, feasibility, and impact

Initiates new ideas and secures the resources and partnerships to bring these concepts to market. Directs the timely and coordinated management of key environmental projects. Drives innovation in key areas of sustainability, follows on useful certifications and alliances for the brand

-Team Cooperation and Coordination
Engages functional leaders, shares expertise freely, and inspires the organization to create win-wins for the business and the planet.  Educates the organization on progress and how they can contribute.

Leads Sephora’s Collection “sustainability” task force, including sustainability captains and cross-functional experts, driving a coordinated set of global environmental impact projects.

Collaborates with Sephora Sustainability team to align and create synergies.

-Compliance & Accountability
Creates mechanisms to measure progress and hold the organization accountable for its commitments

Partners with Communications teams to define public claims, commitments, and external communications

Assures that the brand and products meet sustainability criteria for Sephora sustainable offer curation.

Continuously monitors programs to assess effectiveness and shares updates with key stakeholders

Builds systems and practices for continuous monitoring and benchmarking of the landscape.

Ensures compliance with governmental regulations or LVMH group policies on sustainability

Relevant experience

-+ 10  years of experience in managing sustainability in an international environment
-environmental expertise in cosmetic sector
-Track record of building successful sustainability programs in a complex environment
-Familiarity with major regulation, industry standards, and environmental laws, especially in the EU
-Meaningful financial responsibility and history of working with functional leaders on developing new business cases and delivering transparent and accountable results
-Minimum 5+ years team management experience over cross-functional teams or department leadership
