Job Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for Community Employment Assistant Supervisor (12 Month Contract renewed annually – subject to DSP funding) for a CE Scheme operated by Limerick Civic Trust, Bishop’s Palace, King’s Island, Limerick. CE Scheme is supported by the DSP which is funded by the Irish Government. Salary will commence at Point 2 of the Assistant Supervisors Funding scale – €495.30 (unless a current CE Assistant Supervisor on a different point of scale is the successful applicant). The Assistant Supervisor will report to the Supervisor. The function of the assistant supervisor is to assist in ensuring the effective and efficient administration and co-ordination of HR, and financial and material resources. Candidates must evidence competency in one or more of the following areas: Business/Financial Administration, Communication & Interpersonal skills, Training, Human Resources, People Management, ICT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) and Payroll. Candidates should have 3 years supervisory experience and a major 3rd level qualification (NFQ level 6 or higher) is desirable for the role. Duties: Assist in the business administration of the project. Assist in the preparation of financial returns, i.e., wages and materials claims. Assist in the maintenance and provision of all recording systems as may be required by the Sponsor and/or DSP e.g., attendance, follow-up and progression records. Assist Supervisors in sourcing effective training opportunities to meet training needs of CE participants. Provide effective supervisory cover in the absence of the CE Supervisor. Assist in planning and coordinating agreed/approved work schedules for participants. Assist in ensuring the CE scheme is compliant with financial and programme and training monitoring requirements. Essential Criteria: – Have reasonable knowledge and understanding of the role of the CE Assistant Supervisor and of Limerick Civic Trust. Previous experience in office administration, accounts and payroll, Microsoft Office etc. Skills relevant to people management. Good communication skills. Competent writing and reporting skills. Ability to work effectively within a team and to prioritise tasks.
