Chef de Partie (permanent)

• Salary: £24,113 – £27,968 per annum (inclusive of 4.5% split shift payment) -pay review pending

The catering team at Emmanuel College (known as ‘Emma’) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Chef de Partie. Boasting a Head Chef who has represented the UK as part of National Culinary Team, ‘Emma’ is renowned for its excellent food. The catering team provides high quality dining and an efficient and professional standard of service to College members and external clients. Food service ranges from high volume cafeteria-style service to fine dining.  Made up of 2 teams of 4 chefs working opposite shift patterns (including split shift working), the team is close-knit and supportive. Workload varies through the academic year and during holiday times, when conferences, weddings and special events are hosted. Personal and professional development are a priority, enabling employees to flourish. Participation in the various competitive catering events both locally and nationally is encouraged and supported.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Professional Cookery, a passion for food and cookery, be a great team player and able to demonstrate a working knowledge of food law and allergen information.  This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, including some evening and alternate weekends on a rota basis. Conference and Accommodations Assistant

Emmanuel College is seeking to appoint a highly organised individual to the role of Conference and Accommodations Assistant within our busy Conference and Accommodations departments. Household Services Assistant

Household Services Assistant

Emmanuel College is seeking a Household Services Assistant to join a small team within the busy Household Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of cleaning duties, moving of furniture and items for storage and driving the College vehicle to deliver items to outside properties.  A current, full and clean UK driving licence is essential.

Household Services Team Leader

Emmanuel College is seeking an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills with a keen attention to detail to become a Team Leader within the Household Services Department. This role is an integral part of the Household Services team and key to the smooth and efficient running of the department within the College.  The post holder will help ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times and will strive to achieve all tasks assigned to them. A positive attitude, ability to maintain confidentially and with the ability to work well with and motivate a team are essential.

Boasting a Head Chef who has represented the UK as part of National Culinary Team, ‘Emma’ is renowned for its excellent food. The catering team provides high quality dining and an efficient and professional standard of service to College members and external clients. Food service ranges from high volume cafeteria-style service to fine dining.  The catering team is close-knit and supportive, Kitchen Porters play a valuable role in making sure the service of food runs smoothly. Opportunities to train and develop are encouraged at ‘Emma’. Workload varies through the academic year and during holiday times, when conferences, weddings and special events are hosted.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety, & Hygiene, have high standards of cleanliness, be able to manage time well and work with minimal supervision.
