Who we are looking forThe Chief Administrative Office of the Amsterdam Branch of State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI) is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable and CAO specialist (Assistant Vice President) to drive core administrative processes of the Branch, ensuring effective and efficient compliance with key regulatory and corporate requirement in the areas such as Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer, Business Continuity, Outsourcing Oversight, new product approvals, Volcker regulation, Procedure Maintenance, Customer Contract Management and Complaints Handling and Conflict of Interest reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer of the Branch.The ideal candidate for this cross-functional role spanning all aspects of the front-to-back service line-up of the Branch combines a broad practical approach focused on the key risks with attention to details and the ability to encourage and monitor colleagues around the Branch buy in and execute on critical tasks in a timely manner. The role does not require an intricate knowledge of all processes and regulation involved, but a desire to secure an adequate understanding of the key aspects, a willingness to reach out to subject-matter specialist where required and above all persistency to see these procedures through to completion and escalate bottle-necks is key to success in this role.This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.Why this role is important to usYou will be joining the Institutional Services function that allows us to deliver a comprehensive, holistic approach to each client relationship — for asset managers and asset owners, insurance companies, and official institutions globally. - Work with the Relationship Managers, Client Service Representatives and Sector Sales in the Branch and the SSBI AML FLOD team to achieve timely and accurate completion of all AML/KYC-processes at on-boarding of new clients and product as well as periodic reviews of existing clients and complete and accurate recording of applicable products and services for each Branch client.
- Manage local aspects of the business continuity plan of the Amsterdam Branch as part of the SSBI BCP arrangements
- Outsourcing and new business approval support, acting as Outsourcing Portfolio Manager for key outsourced services to other State Street entities, monitoring compliance with internal and external oversight regulations.
- Manage local compliance with Volcker Rule requirements, interacting where necessary with the Volcker Team of State Street.
- Monitor timely maintenance and update of all policy and procedure documentation, in cooperation with the SSBI Corporate Secretary Office.
- Acting as the Branch´s Complaints Officer, monitoring timely and adequate responses by the relevant complaint owner in the Branch.
- Act as the Branch´s Conflict of Interest Manager, maintain the Branch´s Conflicts Register, organizing period (annual) reviews and interact with the SSBI CoI Manager and the Global Ethics Office.
- ECMS support to the local RM´s, CSR´s to monitor timely and complete storage of contractual documentation of each client.

- Ability to maintain oversight a multiple simultaneous tasks, most of which are deadline driven keeping the CAO-dashboard up-to-date and complete.
- Attention to detail to identify and understand key risks, at the same time ensure that all elements of compliance with a policy or procedure are duly recorded
- Strong abilities in analytical thinking, problem solving and verbal and written communication (mostly in English).
- Ability and willingness to collaborate with colleagues in the various teams across the Branch as well as in the wider SSBI-community
- Ability to explain the need and contents of core ad.ministrative processes critical to the operating of the Branch in compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
- Serve as a point of contact for Branch staff providing guidance on how to apply policies and procedures.
- Maintain and report on a periodic basis to the CAO and Branch Manager.
- Be a role model for risk management excellence.
- Ability to work collaboratively internationally with cross-functional teams
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with process or project management in financial services related to investment services, investment advisory or investment management.
- Experience with company wide procedure and process management
- Strong written and communication skills (English required, Dutch is a plus).
- Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration, Financial Planning or Analysis, Project Management is a plus.
- 3-year+ experience in investment servicing, investment management or an administrative oversight role
