We are looking for a Chief of Regional Managing Director’s Office for France & South Africa, to be based at our Paris la Défense office.
Your Team
The Regional Managing Director for France and South Africa and his team is responsible for driving and executing the Integrated Commercial program in a highly dynamic and global set-up.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting directly to the Regional Managing Director for France & South Africa, you will provide strategic support and contribute to the success of strategy development and execution. In addition, you are a key enabler for continued business impact by providing an important contribution to current projects and initiatives, and you serve as a communication interface between various stakeholders across Allianz Commercial and Allianz Group regions and functions.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Preparing monthly Board and Senior Management meeting contributions, including pre-screening, challenging, and action item follow-up
- Preparing and coordinating the team’s contribution to the planning and steering cycle (eg. Strategic & Planning Dialogues, Region Reviews)
- Preparing and following up meetings and events where the Regional Managing Director for France & South Africa is involved (eg. external events, workers’ council meetings, town halls)
- Organizing, preparing and participating in internal meetings and events such as offsites, team meetings, etc.
- Steering and coordinating strategic projects, initiatives and workstreams
- Managing and handling daily administrative tasks for the Regional Managing Director for France and South Africa (eg. audit follow-up, cost center oversight, mid-/year-end review preparation, preparing decision templates and analyses)
- Coordinating the Personal Assistant pool
- Working closely with Communications to develop presentations, speeches or pitches for market events
- Driving coordination of the Allianz Commercial regional community, ensuring inclusion and support for a cohesive strategy
- Helping shape and drive primary initiatives that drive improvements to customer satisfaction, metric-driven procedures, and the achievement of productivity metrics
What You’ll Bring to the Role
We are looking for an Insurance professional based in Paris la Défense, ready to take on a strategic coordination role, interacting at a high level of management and driving forward multiple projects across the Allianz Commercial region of France and South Africa.
You bring:
- A solid broad understanding of our Corporate and Specialty Insurance business; the process, the players, the financials and business KPIs
- Ideally you have experience in Underwriting, Consultancy, Transformation or Project Management
- You bring strong project management skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple work streams in a matrix environment
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret and synthesize complex information and to develop actionable solutions
- Excellent communication skills to express ideas and messages to a variety of stakeholders within an international and multicultural context
- You handle sensitive topics with diplomacy and discretion
- You have native-level French and communicate fluently in English
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, and the ability to create compelling and concise presentations. You are at ease with social media and interested in new technologies
- You bring natural leadership skills, able to mentor and advise others
