  • The Chief of Staff works under the direct supervision of the Group CEO. He/she is involved in a large variety of strategic decisions and initiatives with direct impact on the growth and development of the Group.
  • The Chief of Staff coordinates the interactions of the Group CEO with the Supervisory Board, Reference Shareholders, College of Regulators, key clients and partners, local stakeholders, and all the senior contacts involved in the development of Euronext.
  • The Chief of Staff is responsible for special projects and sensitive matters that are assigned to him/her by the Group CEO for particular confidentiality reasons. This can include a broad range of corporate projects (support of specific internal initiatives, events or business priorities) or projects directly embedded in the ecosystem of Euronext (with public administrations, through communication and public relations campaigns, etc.).
  • The Chief of Staff supports the Group CEO by producing background and position papers, briefing materials and presentations for internal or external meetings, in coordination with internal subject matter experts.
  • The Chief of Staff is the Secretary to the Managing Board, in charge of coordinating the overall decision-making process within the top management team, including planning, preparing and minuting the meetings of the Managing Board, as well as monitoring implementation of top management decisions.
  • The Chief of Staff is uniquely positioned to gain a deep understanding of the financial industry, operations of a high-end technology company, management of a listed multinational large cap firm and end-to-end M&A transaction processes from early due diligence to full integration.
  • The Chief of Staff is also in charge of monitoring the execution of Euronext’s strategic plan, and the business owner of the Client Centricity program of Euronext, which consists of a client satisfaction survey in all of the Group’s businesses.

Profile

  • Master degree, ideally in business, finance, engineering or political science.
  • 5 to 10 years of successful experience in a top consultancy or investment banking firm, or in a demanding industrial company with strong exposure to strategic or top-management decision-making processes.
  • Good understanding of the financial industry.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of a wide span of complex strategic and regulatory matters.
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills, with superior attention to details.
  • Fast learner, proactive behaviour and entrepreneurial mindset (pragmatic, hands-on in execution, ability to take decisions under uncertainty).
  • Ability to deliver results and make things happen quickly from project inception to completion with limited oversight.
  • Good interpersonal skills to handle a wide network of senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Interest in cross-cultural management situations and in European issues.
  • Fluency in English and French.
