CIVIL / INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER IN CONSTRUCTION – Based in Liège

Our client, a fast-growing family business in the construction sector, is currently looking for a skilled civil/industrial construction engineer to join their design office team at their Herstal site. With a presence throughout the Benelux and France, our client is actively involved in the manufacture and processing of technical products, catering to the specific needs of structural work and masonry companies. They pride themselves on their commitment to providing excellent customer service and their ability to develop tailor-made products to meet market demands.

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing technical support to sales representatives, collaborating with engineering professionals and project managers, and ensuring effective communication across various departments. Our client’s dedication to their customers’ needs is reflected in the existence of their own design office, which allows them to be highly responsive and adaptable.

Responsibilities:

– Provide technical support and expertise to sales representatives, addressing specific customer requirements

– Collaborate with the design office team on the development of new tailor-made products, from feasibility to production start-up

– Communicate on a daily basis with other departments to ensure cross-functional collaboration and seamless project execution

Requirements:

– Master’s degree in civil construction engineering or industrial construction engineering

– Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an engineer in the construction sector (design office/site/prefab)

– Proficiency in reading stability and architectural plans

– Familiarity with Eurocodes and the main technical products used in construction

– Bilingual in French and English, Dutch is a desirable asset

– Strong command of IT tools, including MS Office

– Experience or willingness to learn CAD/CAM software (AutoCad, Solidworks, ArchiCad, Revit, etc.)

– Analytical mindset with a creative and resourceful approach
