Class 1 driver who is experienced in Transport plant machinery, abnormal and wide loads across the UK. Follow strict pre-approved routes and movement orders. MUST have strict understanding of route restrictions of bridge heights and limits. Load and unload machinery safely following procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed lorries, across designated routes Load and unload goods with care, ensuring securement of cargo during transit Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries and pick-ups Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate schedules Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
Requirements
Valid Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record Proven experience with low loaders/plant transport Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations preferred Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently Ability to work independently and responsibly under pressure Good communication skills and professional attitude Physically fit
