Company:
Dentons
Job description
Department/Division: LPM / Solutions
Duration: Permanent
Location: Any UK Office / Remote
Reports to: Client Onboarding Project Manager
Type of Role: Hybrid / RemoteReference no: 7510The RoleWe are currently seeking a creative and organised individual to join our expanding team as a Client Onboarding Project Specialist. This specialist role will work closely with the Client Onboarding Project Manager to ensure seamless execution of client onboarding processes and projects.
The client onboarding function at Dentons, established just a year and a half ago, is still in its early stages and was created to address a market gap with a more standardised, streamlined approach to onboarding new clients. While many firms conclude formal client onboarding at intake, post-Conflicts and AML checks, we recognise the critical importance of providing substantial support to clients at the outset of their engagement with new legal counsel. This entails understanding their needs and priorities thoroughly and establishing a clear delivery plan to ensure accountability in meeting those needs. A significant portion of this process involves supporting the transition of live legal work, and non-legal aspects such as account setup, reporting requirements, and technology solutions.
We are ideally seeking candidates with experience in handling client relationships during this pivotal early setup phase.
The ideal candidate will possess an inclination to improve existing processes and think innovatively.
While prior experience in the legal sector is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement, as legal industry knowledge can be acquired.Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the client onboarding process by collecting necessary documentation and information from clients.
- Input and maintain client information in a client database to ensure consolidation and accessibility of relevant client data for learning from experience and future business development efforts.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and clients to ensure efficient onboarding procedures.
- Aid in producing client onboarding documentation and guidelines to maintain a consistent standard of onboarding experience and support process enhancement.
- Configure account reporting, insights, and analysis using established templates and client requirements.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, keeping notes, and organising project-related materials.
- Conduct follow-ups on pending tasks and monitor project timelines to ensure the timely completion of milestones.
- Assist in implementing process improvements and efficiencies within the client onboarding workflow.
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Client Onboarding Project Manager.
- This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our client onboarding function while gaining valuable experience in a modern and fast-paced legal environment. If you possess the requisite skills and are eager to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply.
Required Experience, Skills, and Attributes
- A good academic record, preferably of graduate level;
- Ideally project / process management experience gained within a professional services environment or a major law firm;
- Highly organised and proactive with the ability to prioritise and deliver tasks in an exciting and innovative environment;
- High attention to detail;
- Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to confidently interact at all levels;
- Ability to think clearly and pragmatically whilst being willing to challenge and question assumptions and propose alternative solutions to problems;
- Competent with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and receptive to the use of modern technology;
- Good data and numeracy skills.
