- Manage a Caseload of Clinical Malpractice Claims: Handle a variety of clinical negligence cases, including those related to medical errors, misdiagnoses, surgical errors, and other forms of malpractice.
- Client Consultation & Advice: Provide clear, professional advice to clients, explaining legal options and guiding them through the claims process with empathy and sensitivity.
- Litigation & Legal Representation: Represent clients in legal proceedings, liaising with expert witnesses, medical professionals, and opposing parties to build strong cases and achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Case Management: Manage and update case files accurately, ensuring all relevant documentation is properly maintained and deadlines are met.
- Negotiation & Settlement: Lead negotiations to secure favourable settlements for clients, ensuring that settlements are fair and in the best interests of the client.
- Maintain Strong Client Relationships: Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, offering continued support and advice throughout the legal process.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues within the firm, including other solicitors, paralegals, and support staff, to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive: Solicitor or Legal Executive qualification with experience in clinical malpractice or clinical negligence law.
- Clinical Negligence Expertise: Demonstrated experience handling clinical negligence claims, with a solid understanding of the relevant legal frameworks, processes, and regulations.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly and sensitively to clients and external parties, including medical professionals.
- Strong Negotiation Skills: Proven experience negotiating settlements and achieving favourable outcomes for clients.
- Case Management & Organisational Skills: Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Empathy & Client Care: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and provide compassionate support in often sensitive and difficult situations.
