GSW Solutions are recruiting on behalf of their client for a Clinical Nurse Manager/Person in Charge in Galway City. The services include day, short stay, residential, community and rehabilitative settings.The CNM/PIC is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient provision of person-centred services to adults and children.This role involves working closely with the Area Manage to plan and implement high-quality service delivery. The PIC must ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and national regulations, including the Health Act 2007 and HIQA standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Provide strong clinical leadership, support, and supervision to nursing and support teams. Act as a role model in clinical practice.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to HIQA regulations, Health Act 2007, and organisational policies. Maintain HIQA registration and record-keeping compliance.
- Person-Centred Care: Foster a home-like atmosphere, promoting dignity, respect, independence, and community participation for individuals supported.
- Financial & Resource Management: Manage budgets, staffing, and expenditure, ensuring financial safeguards for residents.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily management of the designated centre, including medication administration, rosters, and staff supervision.
- Communication & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, submit reports, and collaborate with families, staff, and professionals to enhance service delivery.
- Health & Safety: Ensure a safe environment through risk management, health and safety policies, and adherence to regulations.
- Staff Development: Support staff training, development, and performance management to maintain high care standards.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: Level 7+ qualification in nursing, social care, or health science; NMBI registration; relevant management qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in a management/supervisory role in health or social care; proven track record in residential service management.
- Skills: Budget management, report writing, personal support planning, roster management, IT proficiency.
- Compliance: Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements; commitment to continuous professional development.
- Other: Full driving license with own vehicle.
