The Clinical Researcher will serve as the Principal Investigator to coordinate the “CaixaResearch Health HR24-00927 project”, titled ” Una nueva estrategia terapéutica más efectiva para tratar las malformaciones arteriovenosas cerebrales.” This project aims to investigate a more effective and less invasive therapeutic target to improve treatment and outcomes for patients with brain arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).The Clinical Researcher will collaborate closely with neurologists, interventional neuroradiologists, veterinarians, pharmacologists, and biologists working on the project to ensure adherence to timelines and achievement of project goals. Key objectives include demonstrating effective embolisation of target lesions using newly developed formulations, within the embolised area, using an in vivo animal model of brain AVM (i.e., pig retia mirabilia).This position requires a blend of clinical, preclinical, and basic scientific knowledge, along with executive competence, to achieve the project objectives within the specified timeframe and agreements.Education and qualifications:Required:
- Medical Doctor
- Residency in Radiology
Desired:
- PhD in Neurosciences
- Training in project management
- Training in diagnostic neuroradiology
- Fluency in Spanish and English and Catalan
- Knowledge of the CaixaResearch Health 2024 call
Experience and knowledge:Required:
- At least 1 year of experience working in an interventional neuroradiology department
- At least 5 years of experience working in a clinical hospital
Desired:
- Experience in managing interventional neuroradiology research projects
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
Main responsibilities and duties:Project Management for CaixaResearch Health 2024
- Conceptualise, lead, and manage an in vivo animal study to demonstrate the effective embolization of target lesions using newly developed formulations. Ensure safety with no systemic toxicity and confirm efficacy by in the embolized area, using an in vivo animal model of brain AVM (e.g., pig retia mirabilia).
- Oversee and monitor in vitro studies for CaixaResearch Health HR24-00927 project to ensure objectives, deliverables, and timelines are met.
Innovation Strategies and Technology Transfer
- Develop strategies for the transfer of technological knowledge gained from the project’s results, both during and upon its completion.
- Assess intellectual property, establish partnerships with key stakeholders, and foster collaborations to maximise the impact of the project’s results.
- Disseminate scientific milestones of the project both internally and externally.
Scientific Writing
- Publish study results in scientific journals to contribute to the dissemination of the research findings.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position
- Starting date: immediate, year.
- Gross annual salary: (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project
