Job Summary

Shared Assets is seeking a proactive and creative Communications Coordinator to join our
team. This role will be driving our communication strategy, amplifying our messages, and
promoting engagement with wider audiences.

The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for all communications of the
organisation, but will strategise alongside the whole team and receive input and collaboration
on organisational communications and projects.

Main Responsibilities

Operating Communications Platforms:

  • Responsibility for operating our website, social media platforms and monthly newsletter,
    ensuring consistency and clarity in our messaging and communicating what we do.
  • Responsibility for design of digital communications.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Promote our services and paid work through various communication channels, ensuring our
    messages reach the intended audience, as well as advocating for opportunities for work and
    future projects through communications.

Narrative Development and Weaving

  • Develop compelling narratives related to land and land justice, identifying opportunities
    to integrate land narratives into events, networking, and other initiatives.

Creating and Implementing Communications Strategy:

  • Find innovative ways to engage individuals and communities with our work and stories,
    ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.

External Representation:

  • Take the role of spokesperson for Shared Assets, creating and maintaining relationships
    with partners and collaborators.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with the multiple functions within the team, assisting with their
    communications and connecting insights and learnings for our platforms.
  • Contribute to editorial support across different function communications such as reports
    and website updates.

Event Planning and Promotion: 

  • Helping to plan and promote events we run, effectively communicating their purpose and
    value.

General

  • To participate and contribute to the development of Shared Assets as an organisation,
    including being accountable to policies, and helping improve those policies where relevant
  • Any other duties as may be required in a small organisation
