We’re seeking a creative Communications Officer to join the Communications team, based in IT Services. We’re a small, ambitious and supportive team, focused on delivering impact in core areas of: Internal communications, Product and project communications, digital content, and communicating IT Services’ strategic value. 

Reporting to the Communications Manager, you’ll play a meaningful role in promoting the work of the department, raising awareness of our products and services, and helping our University community understand the benefits they provide.  

Working collaboratively with senior leadership and Product teams, you will plan and implement communication campaigns that deliver our strategic goals and support our users. You’ll have excellent copywriting and editing skills, producing user-centred content to deliver impactful written and visual content for diverse audiences. Experience of designing digital materials and video editing is an advantage, but not essential.  

To thrive in this role you’ll be able to manage competing priorities, handle multiple projects and understand the needs of our users. You’ll have the ability to persuade and influence at all levels, including experience of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. 

The Department

IT Services provides a range of IT and technology-enabled services that empower our University community to deliver quality education, research and innovation. We work across the University to design, develop, support and improve products, services and processes.  

This is an exciting time to join the Communications Team, as the department is reimagining the way we deliver our IT services to meet University strategic aims. We’ve significantly changed how we work together and with our stakeholders, to improve the overall experience staff, students and partners have with the University.
