This post includes a Named Doctor for Safeguarding responsibility.The successful candidate will be well supported in the Named Safeguarding role by experienced colleagues in the team, by other named paediatricians in NELFT, and by the Designated Doctor for Safeguarding in Waltham Forest.Job description
Job responsibilitiesYou will be expected to:Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to babies, children and young people across Waltham Forest.Provide senior medical support and guidance to the teamWork directly with babies, children and young people, and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitalsParticipate in the local Child Protection rotaSupport your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiativeWork alongside 4.4wte Consultant Paediatricians, 2wte Specialist Grade Doctors, 1wte Specialty Doctor, 3wte Core/GP Trainees within the serviceCommit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.Person Specification
