Offer DescriptionThe Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Medical University of Lublin announces a competition for the post full-time POST-DOC position at Bioanalysis Department of the Department of Dietetics and Bioanalysis of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Medical University of Lublin to carry out research tasks of the National Science Center project No. UMO-2024/53/B/NZ9/00536, entitled: “Proteomic analysis of animal by-products focused on the identification of specific peptide markers” under the supervision of dr hab. In addition to this period, one can add the number of months of stay on leaves related to the care and upbringing of children, granted on the terms set out in the Labor Code, and in the case of women – 18 months for each born or adopted child, if this method of indicating breaks in the academic career is more favorable, in an entity other than the entity in which employment in this position is planned or completed at least a 10-month, continuous, evidenced postdoctoral fellowship in an entity other than the project provider and in a country other than the country in which the doctoral degree was obtained. Fluency in spoken and written English.Specific RequirementsPreferred competences: Practical experience in working with liquid chromatography in combination with mass spectrometry. Practical experience in working with quadrupole-type mass analyzers – time-of-flight (Q / TOF) and / or Orbitrap. Practical experience in methods of extracting analytes from food and other biological samples. Knowledge of mass spectrometry and spectrometric data analysis software – Mass Hunter Acquisition, Mass Hunter Qualitative, Spectrum Mill, Mass Profiler Professional, Protein Metrics, Proteome Discoverer, Compound Discoverer, Simca. Experience in proteomic analyzes, identification of proteins and their post-translational or chemical modifications. Planned date of employment: from August/September, 2025 (to be agreed with the candidate) for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension for up to 42 months. Remuneration for a full-time post-doc type position in the project financed by the National Science Center, it may be awarded to a person who additionally meets the following conditions: The project manager was not the supervisor or assistant supervisor of her dissertation. During the period of receiving this remuneration, they will not receive any other remuneration from the funds allocated as direct costs from research projects funded under NCN calls. During the period of receiving this remuneration, he/she will not receive remuneration from another employer on the basis of an employment contract, including an employer based outside Poland.During the period of receiving this remuneration , he/she will not receive pension from the social security system.
