As part of Team Amex, you’ll experience this powerful backing with comprehensive support for your holistic well-being and many opportunities to learn new skills, develop as a leader, and grow your career.Here, your voice and ideas matter, your work makes an impact, and together, you will help us define the future of American Express.How will you make an impact in this role?In our Compliance department, in Italy, we are looking for a Compliance Analyst with focus on the following areas of law: Service Payment, Transparency (prize regulation, code of conduct, Bank Transparency, Insurance) and Privacy & Data protection to join the dynamic and friendly team of Compliance professionals.The Compliance analyst brings a good Compliance understanding with in-depth knowledge of the main area of law (as above mentioned), impacting on a financial institution and provides related assessment to the relevant stakeholders/business. The Compliance analyst will be involved in all aspects of compliance related activities/matters, including but not limited to, monitoring and analysis of new regulatory requirements, development and maintaining policies & procedures, supporting regulatory interactions, local and international business initiatives, compliance risk assessment and local training.This position is responsible for:

  • Support the Regulatory Advisory Unit in the implementation of laws and regulations, internal programs and policies, standards and procedures, related to the Areas of Law: Consumer Protection, Privacy, Fair Practices, Transparency, Insurance, Travel etc.
  • Support the Regulatory Advisory Unit Manager in providing advice to the business on compliance-related matters, and the regulatory implications of new and existing products, services and processes.
  • Support as part of Regulatory Advisory Unit Manager, the Business and Operative Functions for all Compliance matters in the daily activities.
  • Analyze advertising/marketing/servicing communications an provide guidance from a Compliance perspective.
  • Assist the ICT and AML Units in the development of the risk assessment related to the relevant regulations above mentioned.
  • Support Compliance Risk Assessment program.
  • Support, as part of Regulatory Advisory Unit the developing/delivering of International and local Transparency and Privacy trainings.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, standards, and policies relevant the area of Transparency, Consumer Protection, privacy and the other relevant regulations.
  • Support in the proper development and (if any) management of the info flows towards the Local Governance Bodies and Senior leadership
  • Support in the developing/delivering of documentation for relationship with the local Authorities.
  • Support, as part of Regulatory Advisory Unit, in the relationship with European DPO and other relevant international stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in regulatory and/or compliance field
  • University degree (preferably Law or Economics)
  • Previous experiences in Law firm or company, financial services/banking/insurance is a plus
  • Proven ability to build rapport, garner respect and exercise authority appropriately in a collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated, energetic team player with ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with all levels of management.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a deadline-intensive environment
  • Proficient both in Italian and English, written and spoken
