An exciting opportunity exists within this family-focused, not-for-profit organisation. Newly created role, supporting the Senior Finance Manager in the development and implementation of controls and procedures in line with Internal Audit, current legislation & best practice. This opportunity is suited to a professional with auditing and/or Compliance experience who wishes to join a charitable organisation. Excellent working conditions with 1-2 days required in the office per week.Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing recommendations from Internal Audit reviews.
  • Assess compliance with internal controls and other applicable regulations.
  • Support in filing relevant returns to the relevant charity regulators.
  • Assist in maintaining updated internal policies in line with Governance & Risk Committee Schedule, regulatory requirements and/or management organisational decisions
  • Support all Funder reporting and the annual Audit with any Governance documentation requests.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Finance

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Accounting/Legal/Economics background.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of risk management, audit or compliance.
  • Proficient IT skills, in particular with Excel
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • An ability to work on own initiative whilst making a significant contribution to the accounts team
