Description & RequirementsWho we are looking forDeloitte Legal Entity Management team is looking for a Consultant to join our growing team to support with the delivery of our global corporate secretarial compliance solutions to our clients.Our clients want us to help them develop and implement best practice corporate governance principles and help them handle increasing regulatory compliance, the administration of large amounts of corporate data, and the digitization of that data.You will be part of a project management team working on delivering corporate secretarial services. You will provide global project management support for Global Corporate Secretarial Compliance engagements, ensuring transparency of the Client’s corporate secretarial compliance and reporting process through a web-based engagement management platform. Generally, these engagements involve services provided by 30 or more Deloitte member firms throughout the DTT global network. You will be responsible for facilitating compliance support across the world, and ensuring clients’ access to consistently accurate, up to date reporting on their compliance through engagement management platform.We are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience working in professional services and being client-facing;
  • Experience of corporate and company law;
  • Experience working as a company secretary and/or with legal entity compliance is a benefit;
  • Excellent written and spoken English is a requirement, with experience of discussing legal topics in English;
  • Ability to apply initiative and out of the box thinking;
  • Understanding of the key issues on managing global group structures and their compliance issues;
  • Demonstrating the ability to consult on corporate governance projects;
  • Client-driven commercial awareness;
  • Experience of working in professional services and/or in a global organization;
  • Enthusiasm for innovation and/or technology-aligned solutions;
  • An organised, pro-active individual who is driven by personal development.

Your future roleAs a consultant, you will manage a portfolio of global outsource clients and demonstrate a very good understanding of their entities, and compliance requirements. You will act as a point of escalation within our center of excellence team, looking for out of the box solutions to our clients’ unique challenges. You will be confident in speaking with and reporting to your clients and will develop strong relationships with your clients and our global network of Deloitte member firms to ensure a cohesive and efficient delivery of global corporate secretarial services. You will be a role model and be able to support junior team members in their personal and professional development, assisting them with their practical queries.Your objectives would be to:

  • Supporting the delivery of large global compliance engagements and working with local Deloitte Legal teams to implement delivery;
  • Staying up to date on the fiduciary, regulatory and statutory responsibilities of legal entities their directors, officers and managers and advising clients on such matters;
  • Actively managing the day-to-day relationship of a portfolio of global clients and overseeing the delivery of the annual compliance and any additional company secretarial services;
  • Updating the client portal to ensure all compliance requirements are tracked and completed in good time;
  • Obtaining and interpreting advice on the corporate entity lifecycle and the on-going compliance with local legislation and restructuring of global businesses and sharing this information with central client contacts based in other jurisdictions;
  • Managing the engagement budget and drive the client’s billing;
  • Supporting junior team members and sharing knowledge and expertise with them;
  • Assisting on Corporate Governance projects as required.
