We are looking for a Consumables (Single-Use) Development Engineer for our PD SU Development FMT Department.
This position is based in Aubagne (France).In this role, you will lead projects or project workpackages of the Sartorius Stedim Biotech group on new concepts, technologies, materials, products and systems, in compliance with the objectives set and the ISO normative environment and the Product Development project management procedure.Grow with us – Your ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of products through knowledge of the performance requirements, including all aspects of the product design criteria, product function and customer needsEnsure quality in a product’s design for usability, reliability, functionality, marketability, and manufacturabilitySupport efforts to verify and validate new product designsApply design to cost and design for manufacturability methods to support project leaders in achievement of project objectivesContribute as a team member on development projects carrying out assigned responsibilities in a timely, diligent, safe, and professional mannerSupport the organization’s intellectual property strategy by documenting data and independent, unique and patentable ideas that results from experimentations and concept generation activitiesEnsure a safe, healthy and environmentally-friendly workplace by observing Company’s procedures and corresponding regulationsWhat will convince usAcademic degree in Engineering or Science, Master degree preferredMinimum 5 years relevant experience in product design and development with a solid understanding of the product lifecycleAble to identify, break down and solve a variety of difficult technical problemsStrong aptitude for hands-on engineering testing and experimentation in a lab/shop environmentProactive and able to identify priorities to achieve end target in timeDisciplined and well-organized in documentation (plans, requirements, drawings, design reviews, and test methods)Experience working with ISO requirements and other relevant guidelines and regulationsKnowledge of statistical methods and analysisTeam player with good communication skills + Fluent in French and in EnglishAbout SartoriusSartorius is part of the solution in the fight against cancer, dementia, and many other diseases.
