Start a new adventure in the medical device industry today and make a difference in someone’s life.Responsible for planning, directing, leading, and facilitating continuous improvement and lean manufacturing throughout the organization. As a key member of the Natus Sensory Operations team, you will participate in operational planning to maximize company profits through a coordinated effort of driving continuous improvement processes throughout the organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as lean culture champion throughout the organization.
  • Execute corporate goals for business process improvements in the different functional areas throughout Natus Sensory.
  • Review and analysis of space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Mentor others in Lean, Six Sigma Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Ensure entire Operations’ team are properly trained in continuous improvement to attain strategic objectives.
  • Lead and execute Continuous Improvement Summits and Kaizen events.
  • Work with the various functional departments to improve business processes, driving saving initiatives.
  • Work with Human Resources to establish training guidelines.
  • Travel will be required.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience developing and maintaining a lean culture, domestic and global manufacturing background.
  • Extensive background with various lean manufacturing tools and concepts such as Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, pull systems, Cellular Manufacturing, SMED, 6-Sigma, Quality tools standard work, Kanban, Visual Controls, Mistake Proofing, TPM and statistical engineering.
  • Proven skills and ability to mentor and train the work force.
  • Become the ambassador for Lean learning for the organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Must be hands on (not a consulting type role).

Education/Experience

  • BS degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field required, with an MS or MBA desired.
  • 2 years solid experience in manufacturing environment working with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Black Belt (or Green Belt with solid Manufacturing experience) certification.
