Job Description Summary The Controls Engineer within Controls, Accessories and Marine engineering section, is considered a lead role within the business.
You are expected to be an individual with deep technical capability within controls system with a strong emphasis on applications. The successful candidate is expected to take ownership of the control system design, development and validation to meet detailed customer needs.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesDriving the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Controls System by applying control theory and mathematical modelingDevelopment of architectural and functional concepts to implement the previously identified requirements on system and subsystem levelApply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviorsEnsure adherence to GE’s development process including support for internal and external process auditsFormulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitmentsCoordination with the SW team in implementing the concepts in softwareQualifications / RequirementsMaster’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, automation technology or a comparable subjectExperience in system design in highly complex control systems in the industrial, automotive, medical or aerospace sectorsProven experience with system engineering principles, e.g. V-lifecycle process including requirements engineering, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methods, tools, validation & verification principles (keywords: DOORS, SCADE, Matlab\Simulink, Synergy, Python, NPSS, C++)Understanding of engine and propeller controls principlesDocumented exposure to the Aviation Regulation & StandardFluency in EnglishWork VISA, according to local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Previous experiences in multicultural environment, preferable previous international experience.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.What we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes smart-working and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
