Job Description Summary The Control Systems Senior Engineer within Controls, Accessories and Marine engineering section, is considered a senior role within the business. You are expected to be an individual with deep technical capability within controls system with a strong emphasis on applications.
In this role you will take ownership of the control system design, development and validation to meet detailed customer needs.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesManage with high degree of autonomy the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Controls System by applying control theory and mathematical modelingBe responsible for defining, developing and validating the architectural and functional concepts to implement the previously identified requirements on system and subsystem levelMaster the control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviorsEnsure and drive the adherence to GE’s development process including support for internal and external process auditsFormulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitmentsLead the communication with the SW team in implementing the concepts in softwareQualifications/RequirementsMaster’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, automation technology or a comparable subjectExtensive experience in system design in highly complex control systems in the industrial, automotive, medical, or aerospace sectorsStrong experience with system engineering principles, e.g. V-lifecycle process including requirements engineering, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methods, tools, validation & verification principles (keywords: DOORS, SCADE, Matlab\Simulink, Synergy, Python, NPSS, C++)Understanding of engine and propeller controls principlesFluency in Italian and EnglishDocumented exposure to the Regulation & StandardProven experience in multinational companiesSolid oral and written communication skills.Work Visa and Italian citizenship, according to local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsProven leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Strong problem-solving approach and demonstrated ability to connect horizontally with other roles/functionsDocumented exposure to the Aviation Regulation & StandardWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
