The Customer Operations Specialist is driving creative solutions for all supply and non-supply chain related exceptions. Coordinating between all relevant parties to solve the challenges and continuously looking for improvement opportunities for all supply chain related processes within the supply chain organization and at the commercial affiliates. The Customer Operations Specialist is responsible to translate commercial strategies and priorities within Supply Chain to drive effective decision making.Responsibilities
- Represent Customers as if they were present at ALOG;
- Understand market characteristics;
- Perform market reviews, increase market knowledge and get market insight/ intelligence;
- Perform demand analysis, including bias and initiate improvements;
- Build effective relations with liaisons and stakeholders in assigned regions; ensure business reviews with affiliates are effective;
- Perform safety stock analysis and initiate improvements;
- Customer order management for direct customers, including financial holds;
- Shipment planning for direct customers;
- Minimize hedging exposure;
- Host periodic business reviews;
- Organize periodic visits and workshops;
- Drive financially based and effective decision making;
- Follow up on unsolved supply exceptions and coordinate appropriate actions to minimize impact;
- Follow up on identified risk inventory and drive creative solutions to minimize actual write-off;
- Set up (and maintain) partnership agreements, service level agreements and customer profiles including preferred replenishment set-up;
- Introduce and facilitate region meetings;
- Coordinate actions with the supply chain planner to optimize the system set-up in line with commercial affiliate requirements;
- Coordinate actions for all Commercial Affiliate not triggered by the ERP Software;
- Take a leading role in any major impact event representing the commercial affiliate and supply chain planning organization;
- Educate affiliates in the area of ALOG systems and processes;
- Review key performance indicators regularly, identify opportunities to improve performance, and execute implementation of improvements.
Requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are required to facilitate effective working relationships with supply chain partners;
- Good analytical skills with scheduling, inventory management, and KPI analysis;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required to facilitate information flow across internal and external supply chain partners;
- Strong Negotiation and conflict resolution skills are required to ensure timely and effective solutions to scheduling and inventory management issues internal and external customers;
- Innovative skills and initiative are required to identify and provide support to implementation of business process improvements;
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills are critical to ensure timely delivery of product and communication with the supply chain partners;
- Good understanding of DRP planning systems and business applications is vital (SAP).
