Trimble Agriculture ambition is to reduce the quantity of herbicide used worldwide. Our products use the most advanced image processing AI technology in collaboration with embedded systems to help achieve our mission of a more sustainable agriculture.

In order to reduce the amount of herbicides used, our camera network, directly embedded on the boom of the sprayers, continuously scans the paddock, identifies the weeds within the crops in real time, and controls the spraying automatically. By using our technology, we spray only where it’s needed, when it’s needed.

The Mission

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer that will work as part of a diverse team of software engineers, cloud developers, AI engineers and a growing team of data engineering.

As a data engineer you have a key role in the process of developing artificial intelligence algorithms that will change the way we use chemicals in agriculture. You will be responsible for developing data pipelines as well as data flows.

Your role at Trimble Agriculture (Bilberry) as a Data Engineer :

  • Store and organize the huge amount of image and image metadata we gather from the crops.
  • Conduct image metadata analysis to guide data gathering and data selection.
  • Develop pipelines to run computer vision and AI algorithms on our image database for data cleaning, sorting and analyzing.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers to develop algorithms and tools to accelerate data selection for annotation.
  • Create image data flows to optimize the transfer of data from our systems to our training datasets.
  • Optimize and prepare image data and annotation for AI algorithm creation.
  • Develop automatic tools related to image data.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D, Degree or several years of experience in Data Science, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Software Development, or another related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python or other data oriented languages.
  • Deep understanding of database design & architecture : SQL / NoSQL
  • Good knowledge about big data technologies : Apache, Hadoop, Spark …
  • Good knowledge of cloud development with AWS or GCP
  • Small knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning
  • Full knowledge of GIT.
  • Data visualization skills.
  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English

Work Experience

Working experience for a period of 2 to 5 years.
