Data Engineer

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Data Engineer to join our UniQue team in Hague!

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Applying existing data science techniques to new problems and datasets using specialized programming techniques
• Selecting from existing data sources and prepares data to be used by data science models
• Evaluating the outcomes and performance of data science models.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to train and improve models and the data used
• Publishing and reporting on machine learning model outputs to meet customer needs and conforming to agreed standards
• Supporting review of data science and AI activities, processes, products or services
• Supporting development and maintenance of data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Supporting maintenance of the data lakes, implementing updates and working with system owners to ensure data is available for analysis
• Contributing to machine learning initiative across with suggestions for ML approaches and implementation, including the processing of training data and performance assessment of machine learning techniques on datasets
• Contributing to new/modifications to data science toolsets and metrics

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a relevant discipline (such as: Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or Engineering)
• Have a minimum 3+ year professional experience in related field, preferably even more
• Have an experience with state-of-the-art data science, analytics and data integration tools
• Knowledge of data science tools to support data analytics and data visualization
• Expertise involving supporting data focused operations in a technical organization.
• Experience of working within a Big Data ecosystem, with tools such as DataBricks, Spark or others
• Possess expertise in planning, executing and maintaining data pipelines
• Great knowledge of Machine Learning, statistical and mathematical models
• Posses the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Experience in data presentation tools e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, Kibana, Dash, Streamlit is considered as advantage
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices (Git, CI/CD pipelines, and etc) is an advatage
• Experience with Cloud Computing Language Proficiency is an advantage
• A fluent proficiency of English language
• Proficiency in French language is an advantage
