The position

As our Data Governance Specialist, you will be part of the newly established Clinical Data Governance department in Clinical Data Operations & Insights. Based in Søborg, Denmark, you will report to the Vice President of Clinical Data Governance. With a potential background in pharma or banking, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in data security and compliance, with experience in developing and implementing data governance policies and frameworks.
 

The responsibility includes:

-Responsible for leading the definition and execution of a range of Data Governance activities for the management and protection of the company’s data assets, so that they can be used with trust and confidence.
-In addition, the Data Governance Specialist will be responsible for maximizing data value, while legal, ethical, and security aspects are safeguarded.
-Develop and implement data governance policies and frameworks to ensure compliance with data security regulations and best practices.
-Identify and assess potential risks to data security and implement measures to mitigate those risks.
-Work with stakeholders across the organization to establish and maintain processes for managing data throughout its lifecycle.
-Conduct regular assessments of data security measures to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations and internal policies.
-Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement data security technologies and solutions.
-Stay up to date on regulatory changes and industry trends related to data governance and security.
-The role will actively partner with several different stakeholders within Clinical Data Operations & Insight and beyond for proactive business engagement to ensure prioritised data governance deliverables are aligned with customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and broader Data Governance strategy.
 
 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

-Education in a relevant field (e.g.
Business administration, Information/Data Science, Economics, Informatics or related discipline, or similar).
-5+ years of experience in data governance, with a focus on data security and compliance.
-Experience developing and implementing data governance policies and frameworks.
-Strong understanding of data security regulations and best practices.
-Sound practical knowledge and implementation experience of driving data governance maturity.
-Exceptional written and oral communication skills to manage engagement at all levels.
-Prior solid experience in writing actionable and measurable policies and standards in the data governance area.
-Demonstrated project leadership skills.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Fluency in both oral and written English.
Desirable qualifications:

-Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
-Proficient experience with regulated and/or legal environments and requirements (e.g. GxP, Security, and Data Privacy)                 
-Data Governance qualification (e.g. DAMA).
