Job Description:An opportunity has arisen for a Data Privacy & Governance Analyst to join the UK Data Privacy & Governance team supporting Aon UK’s data privacy, data governance and data protection function via project delivery of various transformation workstreams and BAU activity.On this position you will be involved in all aspects of the privacy work.   • Promote Data Privacy and Governance culture across the Business, Data Privacy Champions, Data Governance initiatives and best practices
  • Translate Data Privacy principles into tangible Data Privacy solutions to enhance compliance, protection and reduce risk
  • Contribute to the design of Data Governance and management model for unstructured and / or structured data, survey relevant Aon policies, standards, procedures and industry best practices to critically assess existing solutions and support implementation
  • Maintain strategic alignment of the UK Data Privacy & Governance initiatives with various global initiatives and actively shape their agenda/scope/requirements based on UK needs by participating in project forums, reviewing proposals, sharing insights and knowledge

Business support

  • Work with the Data Protection Leads to provide operational support to all UK BUs ensuring their compliance with the UK Data Privacy and Data Governance requirements in line with Aon’s policy framework
  • Maintains ICO registrations collaborates with the Global Privacy Office, Company Secretary and Finance to ensure timely renewals. Assists in Privacy Notice, Records of Processing Activities and Data Flow Map review and update
  • Support review of existing Data Privacy documentation (standards, guidance etc.) and drafting of new/amended versions
  • Assist with Data Privacy training and awareness for local Champions/Lines of Business/Shared Services
  • Assist with, log and track privacy related queries from the Business/Data Privacy Champions (e.g. as part of a Request For Proposal/RFP)
  • Support the UK Data Protection Manager in day-to-day privacy operations as required
  • Assist with Data Privacy Impact Assessments

Monitoring and reporting

  • Work with departments across the UK to prepare monthly and quarterly Data Privacy reporting and dashboards

  • Data Privacy/Protection professional with experience in GDPR
  • Experience in financial services beneficial
  • Self-motivated with strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, being comfortable dealing with all areas of Business practice
  • Embodies a positive image to all audiences and is used to working with senior stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyse and present information in multiple formats to suit the intended audience
  • Good knowledge of technology and standard desk top packages: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI and SharePoint
  • A keen interest in Data Privacy & Governance and a willingness to learn
