What’s the job?

  • Processing Subject Access Requests (“SARs”) and Data Requests from customers, employees and third parties, dealing with them promptly and in compliance with GDPR. Operating a diary management system to ensure legal deadlines are met
  • Checking Data Protection mailbox on a regular basis to ensure allocated matters are picked up, actioned, and escalated as appropriate to the Data Protection team
  • Redacting SARs including supporting the Data Protection Advisors with redacting as and when required
  • Liaising with data subjects and their representatives on non-complex data requests and SARs
  • Supporting the Data Protection Partner where appropriate
  • Assisting the Data Protection team in legal records management and filing, and archiving
  • Managing legal risk and seeking guidance where appropriate
  • Supporting the Data Protection Partner in ad-hoc data protection/Legal team initiatives

What you’ll bring

  • Some legal experience (preferably 2 to 4 years)
  • Experience in dealing with consumer matters including communicating with customers (both written and verbal)
  • Experience in dealing with high volume caseloads
  • Organisation, accuracy, and eye for detail
  • Excellent word processing skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Fluency in English is a must
