Gold Standard Diagnostics is an International Business Line within the Eurofins Group focused on the development, manufacturing and marketing of bioanalytical technologies and diagnostic test kits.
The business line is primarily focused on solutions in Food and Environmental Safety with increasing expansion into Animal Health and Clinical Diagnostics. GSD serves both external customers (industrial laboratories, governmental laboratories, service laboratories) as well as customers within the Eurofins Group.
The business line located its international headquarter in Hungary with a production and logistics hub serving the world-wide market.
Working location: IV. district, Budapest, The Demand and stock planner plays a key role in obtaining customer forecasts and analysing historical sales data, and based on those managing the stock levels and high level production planning activities within the supply chain and customer service organization. He is responsible for managing and optimizing stock levels to ensure a company meets demand while minimizing costs and avoiding overstock or stockouts.

  • Collect customer forecast regularly and keep up to date a central database for forecasted products and quantities.
  • Based on customer forecasts and historical sales data plan minimum and optimal stock levels for the products.
  • Prepare excel based databases from various sources and use Power BI (sales forecasts, reports from ERP system) to facilitate decision making.
  • Evaluate customer forecast performance and prepare feedback logs.
  • Ensuring the right stock levels are maintained.
  • Managing slow-moving or excess inventory to prevent losses.
  • Reducing stock shortages or overstock situations.
  • Keep close contact with the customer service department and with the production teams in order to prioritize ongoing and planned production orders.
  • Initiate changes to production plans to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Support the resolving of production issues to minimize delays in production.
  • Compiling status and performance reports.
  • Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current stock, purchasing and production plans

  • University degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of demand, stock or production planning
  • Stock control process knowledge and experience
  • Fluent English language knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) applications
  • ERP and Power BI experience
  • Competencies: strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work independently, customer focus, accuracy, effective communication skills, flexibility
