This is your chance to join the C&A team as a Design Coordinator Kids!The Design Coordinator is responsible for supporting the design team in all stages of the design process, from research to concept to prototypesYour responsibilities
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between the design team, production teams, and other stakeholders / Handover of visual linesheets including key outfits to GTM storyteller.
- Assist designers with research, sourcing materials, and other tasks as needed.
- Support in preparations of product presentations.
- Organize and support with creating and maintaining design files, including sketches, technical drawings, and fabric swatches / Manage sample libraries and ensure that samples are properly stored and cataloged.
- Coordinate and schedule design meetings and other events / Maintain and update design calendars, schedules, and project timelines.
- Ensure the design process runs smoothly by updating collection overviews and all design communication.
What you bring
- Understanding of fashion design principles, fabrics, and materials (including their properties, quality, and good awareness of suitability), the product, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring collections to life.
- Proficient in computer programs and tools used in the fashion industry, such as Adobe Creative Suite. First experience using these tools to bring creative visions to life is appreciated.
- Passionate about the product by optimizing quality processes, motivated by challenges, and leading and enabling a collaborative team.
- Energized by delivering the best product for our consumer, motivated by providing solutions, adaptable with the ability to manage and react to change.
- Good communication (written and verbal), organizational, and analytical skills as well as critical thinking with attention to detail combined with efficient time management.
- Strong team player and relationship skills combined with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
- First design experience through internship desirable.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Preferably retail experience with product development (PDM/PLM) systems (but not essential).
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Illustrator.
