Offer DescriptionThis position is part of a collaborative research project between the University of Seville and the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia. It offers the opportunity to work within the Intelligent Interface Circuits and Sensory Systems R&D group at the Institute of Microelectronics of Seville. With a proven track record of academic excellence and successful technology transfer, this group presents unparalleled prospects for career advancement in both academia and industry. Throughout the contract, you will join a dedicated team focused on the design and characterization of a SPAD-based image sensor tailored for enhanced capabilities in astronomy applications. The sensor is planned to undergo testing at the Gran Telescopio Canarias, the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo, and the Sierra Nevada Observatory. Considering the host group’s extensive expertise in designing image sensors with SPADs, you will contribute to pioneering advancements in this field. This position is open to either a postdoctoral fellow or a Ph.D. student with a thesis concentration on the proposed topic.
