Job Description

Summarised Purpose

Provide direct technical support to computer system users.

Respond to sophisticated and difficult to resolve computer problems for clients.

Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, VPN connectivity, electronic mail and operating systems.

Provide desk side and remote IT support including training for clients.

Education and Experience

Minimum 2 years in PC hardware/software installation and support.

High school diploma, GCSEs including Mathematics, or equivalent.

Successful completion of vocational course(s) relating to computer systems or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills at all levels.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, PC hardware and desktop application products.

Ability to resolve issues on desktop/laptop platforms.

Capacity to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.

Ability to record actions accurately in ticketing system.

The ability to communicate with clients and Management.

Language skills both English and French required.
