Introduction to 2050 Climate Group

Our vision is that by 2050, young people will be active citizens, having led and accelerated the progress to a just and sustainable society. Since we formed in 2014, we have been working to empower, equip and enable Scotland’s young leaders, aged 18-35, to lead action on tackling the climate crisis.

We are volunteer-driven and the majority of our work is delivered by a committed group of
volunteers with key support from our trustees. This is a brand new role in a small staff team, so
you’ll have the chance to take real ownership and responsibility in helping to shape and manage our
new approach to fundraising.

Job Purpose

This role provides a great opportunity for someone with fundraising experience, who is looking
to learn and to develop their communications experience in a professional role.

The Development and Communications Support Officer will be responsible for facilitating
fundraising activities undertaken by 2050 Climate Group as well as coordinating our external
communications. The role will work closely with volunteers, therefore flexibility with working
patterns is required to support some evening and weekend work.

Approximately 75% of the role will be fundraising based with an annual target of
£100,000. The remaining 25% of the role will be focused on communication.

Application process

To apply for the role, please read the full job description (information pack linked to on our website) and complete the application form (link to application form
is in the information pack) and email an
anonymised copy of your CV to [email protected].
Applications must be received by midnight on Sunday 21st January. The interviews are expected to take
place in the w/c 29th of January.
