We are currently looking for a DevOps/Platform Engineer to extend our team dedicated to creating and maintaining our highly available platform to support mission-critical emergency call handling NG911 systems. By leveraging virtualization, advanced automation, and a robust stack of technologies, we aim to deliver a seamless, scalable, and self-service infrastructure solution that accelerates business innovation.We are looking at different types of individuals. If you have experience as a Platform Architect, Automation Engineer, Kubernetes Specialist, Elastic Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, and Network Security Engineer, and you feel like creating technology that serves as a lifeline for first responders is a noble and vital endeavor, you are ready to answer the call.Technical skills – must have

• Understanding of Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred).
• Understanding of containerization (e.g. Docker)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g.Bash, Python, Ruby).

Familiarity with automation of infrastructure and application deployments (e.g.Ansible, Terraform). * Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

• Understanding of networking concepts and principles and security best practices

Soft skills: * Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Open to learning new technologies and adapting to changing requirements.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
• Hands-on experience with the technologies mentioned above.
• Experience with large enterprise IT systems
• Proven experience in ‘automate everything’ organizations
• Experience in working with different time zones (fluent English)

Technical skills – should have:

• Experience with virtualization technologies (e,g PROXMOX, VMware ESXi, KVM).
• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MS SQL). Knowledge of log management and analytics tools (e.g.Elastic Stack, Prometheus).
• Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, K8s).
