Job SummaryThe DevOps Specialist works with application developers to automate and accelerate the testing, release and deployment of applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably. The DevOps Specialist will have a background in deployment, operations, and full-stack implementations. They will also have experience programming in a high-level language such as Ruby, Ansible, Python, Java or other language to script installation, configuration, and provisioning. They will be providing continuous delivery solutions in a cloud environment and have experience with the core suite of tools used to manage different cloud providers. The DevOps Specialist will establish and employ Continuous Integration practices and tools such as Jenkins. or other CI tools. They employ industry Continuous Delivery patterns and collaboratively work with other members to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions.Key Responsibilities

  • Environment management – Dev/UAT/SIT – ensuring system up/running/green state.
  • Release management.
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD pipeline).
  • Ansible scripts.
  • System monitoring: alerts/setup.
  • Infrastructure management/VM resource management/optimization.

Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of software development, engineering or DevOps experience.
  • Experience in setting up CICD pipelines with industry standard CICD tools like ADO, Jenkins.
  • Experience in setting up and configuring real time monitoring and reporting/alerting tools like Prometheus/Grafana, ELK etc.
  • Ansible scripting, Shell scripts in Linux/Unix environment.
  • Containerization- Building container images as shippable artifacts. Experience in building container deployment strategy. Familiar with orchestration tools like Kubernetes, docker swarm, Nomad etc.
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, self-starter, motivated, multi-tasking, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution oriented with proven results.
  • Good team spirit.
  • Extreme curiousness.
