Digital Delivery ManagerWhy are you here?The Digital Delivery Manager will work with the Head of Business Application to deliver mobile applications for the business, continually improving how services are delivered to our valued customers both internally and externally.What you’ll be doing

  • Identifying and documenting requirements for applications ;
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of Great Places’ existing technology landscape in order to contribute to the overall digital roadmaps, aligning future technologies with current technologies;
  • Ensure seamless integration of mobile applications with backend systems and data sources using secure APIs and middleware where necessary;
  • Reviewing the external market to identify potential delivery partners;
  • Working with the Procurement Team to procure third party services to deliver functionality;
  • Managing the development and delivery of applications by third parties ensuring that they are delivered to spec, quality and cost requirements through effective contractor management;
  • Manage the delivery and rollout of digital applications,
  • Championing user-centred design principles, ensuring solutions are co-developed with business stakeholders and informed by real customer needs and feedback;
  • Stakeholder management with current and future application owners.

What you’ll need

  • Experience in mobile application design and delivery.
  • Experience of secure design practices
  • Experience of successful application delivery with a third party as the delivery entity.
  • Ability to articulate and translate complex technical solutions to inform and influence colleagues from different areas of the business
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specification documents for third party delivery partners.
  • Be able to write clear reports and presentations to a variety of audiences and in a variety of mediums e.g. formal written reports, workshops, online or face-to-face
  • Have excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Innovative approaches to problem solving and/or devising inventive and creative solutions.
  • Be able to analyse and research new technologies
  • Perform proof of concept or prototyping exercises to demonstrate or evaluate the feasibility and potential benefits of applying a particular technology to a business problem
  • Be able to work under pressure e.g. to deliver against challenging deadlines
  • Team player, able to work collaboratively cross-function to achieve a common organisational goal, understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of stakeholders in other disciplines and functions.
  • To be customer focussed
  • Confident in challenging existing approaches to identify opportunities for improvement, and committed to learning from setbacks to inform future success.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work on own initiative
