Summary:

As a trusted business partner of the VP Global Ostomy Mfg, as well as a member of the Ballina Ostomy PLT, this position will drive the performance of the organization and implement the strategic plan for the Ballina Ostomy site as well as for Global Ostomy Mfg.

The Director Manufacturing Finance – Ostomy, working through their team and throughout Hollister, is responsible for coordinating the completion of all accounting and financial reporting activities related to Global Ostomy Mfg as well as the Ballina Ostomy site (and associated legal entities) consistently with Hollister’s Mission and Vision. Responsible for cost accounting, financial closing and reporting, annual operating plan, internal control, fixed assets, inventory management, and related activities.

Responsibilities:

For all relevant local functions and legal entities (Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, Shared Services):

-Serve as a trusted business partner to the site(s) and functions served—driving performance, mitigating risk, and providing data driven insights that enable achievement of company strategic objectives.
-Leads preparation of all financial statements. Prepare Profit and Loss Accounts, Balance Sheets, and other financial analysis in the required format and within the accounting deadlines, as determined by Corporate Accounting and Financial reporting standards.  Variations from Plan and performance issues requiring remedial action are identified, implemented, and tracked.
-Lead preparation and presentation of financial forecasts, estimates, and AOP. 
-Works with local and Global leadership to provide strategic direction to the site(s) and functions served—prepare and present strategic plans to Hollister
-Maintain the standard cost systems. Ensure that the system is correctly updated for all new product additions, manufacturing equipment and methods changes. 
-Internal Control and Governance: Review internal control issues arising from external and internal audits and implement recommendations where appropriate. 
-Inventory control. Monitoring of Inventory Obsolescence, minimize Inventory exposure risks and communicate Inventory obsolescence risks to the respective stakeholders.
-Fixed asset AFE Control. Facilitate the evaluation of Capital Investment proposals, capture costs, and control spending in line with approval limits. Ensure adequate controls are in place to locate and safeguard company assets.  
-Partner with and maintain periodic and strategic relationships with Banks, Revenue Authorities, Insurance Brokers, Pension Consultants, External Audit Partners, and Governmental Agencies.  Work with these partners to ensure compliance, maintain proper working capital management, manage risk, maintain cost, and ensure Hollister achieves its financial and strategic objectives in a sustainable manner. 
-Lead in partnership with the plant SLT local implementation of the Hollister Production System (HPS) and company-wide IT systems standardization and upgrades (FFG).
-Establish and implement plans to assess and raise the overall level of financial acumen of all business partners.
-Lead the Finance function for the site(s), developing key talent and succession plans to fulfil the long-term objectives of the site.
-Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Work Experience Requirements

-Number of Overall Years Necessary: 15+
-Manufacturing cost accountant environment.
-Prior supervisory work experience.
Education Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
-Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar is preferred.
Specialised Skills/Technical Knowledge:

-Strong listening and communication skills across all levels and with corporate personnel.
-Ability to work independently and effectively represent Hollister with external governmental agencies and consultants.
-Strong presentation skills.

-Demonstrated analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
-Product costing skills.
-Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
-Cost accounting in ERP systems environment, preferably SAP.
-Experience in a production company – preferred.
