This is a role grounded in education policy, careful leadership and driving education innovation. You’ll be responsible for evolving and fine-tuning our education strategy, ensuring we can successfully deliver a learning experience for our students across UG, PG and Executive Education that is fitting of our ambitions.

Reporting directly to the Dean and a crucial part of the Business School Senior Leadership Team, your contribution to the strategic direction, management and development of the school will be vital, ahead of our move to a new home at the Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus (TQEC) in 2026.

The DOE role is expansive, so striking a fine balance between empowering others to deliver and being sufficiently across the detail is central to sustaining high levels of performance across all education segments.

You’ll also:

  • Play a key role in our TQEC working group with a lens focused on education innovation, interdisciplinary educational offerings and executive education.
  • Proactively connect with national peer networks for education and innovation.
  • Attending key national conferences (such as CABS, British Academy of Management.
  • Stay abreast of evolving education policy and regulation from OFS, Advance HE and others.

This is a critical senior management position and as such we are looking for evidence of:

  • A clear understanding of what a leading business school looks and feels like
  • Academic Senior Leadership experience
  • In depth experience in the design, delivery, and assessment of taught programmes
  • Ideally already familiar with the requirements of Professional, Statutory, and Regulatory Bodies related to education delivery, or capable of swiftly getting up to speed in this area
  • Solid evidence of operating at scale within a Business School
  • Significant previous budgetary responsibility
