Do you have strong social skills and an understanding of people in vulnerable situations? And are you the one who finds the good match between volunteer and family?Good Start på Lifet is an offer where volunteers are matched 1:1 with future or new families with young children who, e.g. due to limited social network, tight finances, physical or mental difficulties, cultural challenges etc., need a little extra support in everyday life.As a volunteer activity manager, your most important tasks are to meet the new volunteers and the families, and ensure a good match. In addition, you contribute with sparring and coordination with the many committed volunteers in match. In this way, you support the families’ progress and the volunteers’ skills development, so that together we can support the families as best as possible. Everything happens in close dialogue with your fellow activity leaders and the secretariat in the Red Cross capital.We are currently looking for 1-2 new activity managers to expand our management team to 3-4 people. We are currently experiencing a high demand for the activity and therefore need someone who can help find the right match and make the meeting between volunteer and family a success. In addition, you must be good at keeping an overview and take initiative. At the same time, you have an understanding of working with a vulnerable target group, and you approach both people and tasks with an appreciative approach, a good deal of patience and great openness to differences.As a volunteer in the activity management, you will, together with the other activity managers, i.a.:

  • Hold conversations with families who want a volunteer attached
  • Hold interviews with new potential volunteers
  • Match families and volunteers, and make the right match succeed
  • Follow up on support processes
  • Ongoing guide and guide the volunteer group
  • Ensure communication with and information for the volunteer group
  • Plan social events, courses and experience meetings for the volunteer group

It would be an advantage if you have knowledge of the area of young children in order to be able to best support the volunteer group’s need for sparring.On average, you should expect approx. 20 hours per month for voluntary tasks. You will have the opportunity for great flexibility in terms of when you choose to solve the tasks and meet new families and volunteers, and you can always expect close sparring with the consultant at the Red Cross Capital City.As a volunteer activity leader, you get a lot in return:
