Education Manager

To lead the education team, ensuring safe and professional teaching and to maximise the use of
How Hill by school groups.

Key responsibilities

  • Procurement and management of all bookings for school residential and day visits.
  • Maximise residential and day school usage of the centre
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all group leaders
  • With colleagues, ensure appropriate menus are agreed with visiting groups.
  • Supervision of all children at the time of their arrival and managing the process of
    allocation and entry to their bedrooms.
  • Plan all educational activities for residential school groups
  • Maintain all educational resources
  • Jointly with other staff, ensure the Trust’s boats are safe and in a good condition
  • Ensure all educational risk assessments are updated on a regular basis
  • Manage all educational assistants including monitoring holiday entitlement and sickness
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the Education team
  • Assist in non-educational work when schools are absent, particularly during school
    holidays.
  • Directly responsible for all Education assistants

for its environmental education work, and we are seeking an exceptional individual with educational
