What you’ll be doing

As our Education Support Assistant, you are an integral part of our education team and will
support us to carry out a smooth delivery of our field courses and environmental activities.

This will involve preparing fieldwork equipment and classrooms for learners of all abilities,
ensuring areas are clean and safe for use. As well as organise lesson and health and safety
resources for our learning groups.

You may be required to accompany teaching staff on field trips, assist students with their
fieldwork, help run environmental or problem solving games and aid teaching staff in the
collection of class data.

You will be flexible to our ever-changing learning environment and be happy to assist where
required to ensure our centre always runs efficiently.

Where you’ll be based

Just 30 minutes from Taunton, Field Studies Council Nettlecombe Court is situated in a secluded
valley at the eastern edge of Exmoor National Park. The house is a striking example of a Tudor
and Georgian country mansion set within its own grounds.

The centre can accommodate approximately 120 people. This is spread across two single bedrooms,
three twin rooms and 18 dormitory rooms which vary in size from 4-12 beds.

A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject is desirable but not essential, it is more
important to us that you have:
