Operating around the clock, the ESCC integrates cutting-edge technology with expert personnel to deliver proactive and effective security outcomes across Disney’s diverse EMEA footprint.We are seeking an experienced and strategic ESCC Manager to lead this multi-functional control centre, shaping its day-to-day operations, systems integration, and team development. The successful candidate will bring expertise in incident response, situational awareness, and stakeholder engagement, while fostering innovation and compliance across a high-performing environment. This role is key to ensuring a resilient and responsive security infrastructure across our regional operations.What You Will DoYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:ESCC Leadership & OperationsProvide strategic oversight and daily management of the ESCC’s real-time monitoring and incident response operations across EMEAEnsure all security incidents are responded to, escalated, and reported in line with policies, procedures, and service-level expectationsMaintain working knowledge of Disney’s global security platforms (e.g. CCTV, EACS, IDS, Dataminr, Everbridge) and ensure their effective useLead failover readiness planning and scenario testing to ensure business continuity during unplanned disruptionsPeople Management & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and coach a team of ESCC operators and supervisors, ensuring performance standards are consistently metDeliver regular training programs, performance reviews, and welfare support to create a motivated, skilled, and resilient workforceDrive succession planning and staff development strategies, reducing turnover and fostering a culture of continuous improvementStakeholder Engagement & Relationship ManagementServe as the central point of contact for key stakeholder groups including Security Systems, Intelligence, Compliance, Real Estate, and EMEA Security ManagersRepresent ESCC capabilities during internal briefings, audits, and external visits, delivering concise overviews and promoting understanding of the centre’s functionsEnsure alignment with other TWDC Security Operations Centers (GSCC, ASCC) and facilitate cross-regional coordination as requiredSystems Oversight & InnovationCollaborate with the Security Systems team on issue reporting, upgrades, UAT testing, and the evaluation of new platforms or toolsLog and manage system-related issues and enhancements, driving continuous improvement in technology usageActively contribute to the refinement of ESCC SOPs, escalation workflows, and decision trees in response to evolving threat types and business requirementsRisk, Compliance & Intelligence IntegrationEnsure GDPR, health & safety, and regulatory compliance across all ESCC data processing, surveillance, and incident documentation activitiesLiaise with the Intelligence team to enhance situational awareness and support proactive threat identification and mitigationCoordinate with local law enforcement and business lines when required, ensuring appropriate data handling and communication protocols are followedPerformance Management & ReportingDevelop and track performance metrics (KPIs) for ESCC operations, using data to inform improvements and ensure accountabilityLead post-incident reviews and debriefs, identifying lessons learned and implementing changes where appropriateOversee all administrative functions, including report writing, shift planning, training documentation, and audit trail maintenanceVendor & Facilities SupportManage vendor relationships for key holding and response services across EMEA, ensuring consistent operational support during system failuresCoordinate with local facilities, using translation services as needed, to resolve site-level issues and communicate effectively across languagesLead regular contract and service reviews to ensure SLAs are met and delivery remains aligned with Disney’s security standardsRequired Qualifications & SkillsEssential Experience & SkillsMinimum 3 years’ experience in a security-related field (private or public sector) with exposure to real-time monitoring, emergency response, or control room environmentsDemonstrated leadership capability in managing teams within complex, high-pressure environmentsStrong understanding of physical security systems, operations, and technologies (e.g. CCTV, EACS, IDS)Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multi-stakeholder relationships across functions and regionsDeep knowledge of data protection, compliance, and health & safety requirements in a security contextPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Security, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, or a related fieldProfessional security certifications (e.g. CPP, PSP, MSyI)Fluency or working knowledge of a local language spoken in Asia or EMEA is an assetExperience working within a large multinational or corporate enterpriseGeneral AttributesProactive leader with high emotional intelligence and sound judgmentHighly organized with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in fast-paced environmentsSolutions-oriented and committed to innovation, service excellence, and continuous improvementAble to coach, mentor, and develop team members to meet evolving business needsJob Posting Segment: SecurityJob Posting Primary Business: International Security OperationsPrimary Job Posting Category: Ops GeneralEmployment Type: Full timePrimary City, State, Region, Postal Code: London, United KingdomAlternate City, State, Region, Postal Code:Date Posted: 2025-07-17
