We, at Travis Perkins plc have an exciting and varied Employment Legal Advisor opportunity within our engaged Shared Service Employee Relations Team, based in Lodge Farm – Northampton.Location: Hybrid working / Northampton head office 2-3 days in the office, 2-3 days at home.Role Purpose:To case manage Employment tribunal claims, ACAS early conciliation and TUPE, providing advice & support to the business and Employee Relations Advisors on Employment Legal matters.You will also work with the Head of Employment Legal Services on Employment Tribunal cases, you will assist in preparing the Company’s ET3 responses, corresponding with the tribunal, preparing an early case assessment to identify merits and potential risk and the Claimant’s representative, collation of bundles and drafting statements from Company witnesses.Duties include:Provide proactive impartial advice and guidance in line with Company policy on Employment law matters as required.Support ER Advisors with advice and guidance on Employment Law matters.To collate all documents in respect of new Employment Tribunal Claims.To prepare an early case assessment, to identify the merits and potential risk of each claim.To assist in taking and preparing witness statements from Company Witnesses.To support at Employment Tribunals, note taking as required.Case Manage the TUPE process working with Managed Services.To support in ensuring people Policies are legally compliant.Is this you?Preferred background in Employment LawPreferably previous Employee Relations experience within a similar size business/organisationHas previous experience in Tribunal case managementExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level to a desired outcome.Provide accurate, impartial advice to the business.Ability to interpret and advise on Employment Law.Customer and quality focussed.Commitment and drive.What can we offer you?You’ll be supported by some of the best training & development in the industry.
