WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOREU Institutions: Confluence System AdministratorWe’re seeking a Confluence System Administrator to join our client’s team at European Institutions. You’ll be a key player in our Knowledge Management and Collaborative Sites projects, working closely with colleagues to gather requirements, oversee system evolution, and provide technical support. If you have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Confluence administrator, coupled with frontend or backend development experience, we want to hear from you.YOUR TASKSIn the scope of the Knowledge Management and Collaborative Sites projects:
Work in close cooperation with DG REGIO colleagues to gather and analyse system requirements.
Follow-up of DG REGIO’s Knowledge Management System evolution. E.g., follow-up of Confluence upgrades to a new version, or the migration to new VMs.
Use out-of-the-box add-ons for Confluence.
Administration and configuration of Confluence.
Take part in the definition and documentation of operational procedures.
Help defining and documenting the configuration of systems and infrastructure.
Delivery of technical support to first and second level support teams.
The consultant will report to the Knowledge Management/Collaborative sites team coordinator YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEMandatory:
Minimum 2 year of experience as Confluence administrator
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Frontend or Backend developer
Experience as SharePoint administrator or developer is highly valued Requested skills:
Experience of administration and configuration of Atlassian Confluence, and integration with other systems.
Experience in several aspects of the software development process, namely business analysis, software modelling and design, frontend or backend development, and risk assessment.
Sound troubleshooting skills and ability to think at a systems level.
Critical thinking, proactivity, accountability, team spirit, and availability for continuous learning are highly appreciated personal traits.
Experience writing technical documentation in English.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, SaSS, JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, XML/JSON, Velocity, Soy, Groovy, Angular, React, Node.js or Java is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Scrum or Kanban is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Linux systems, Apache/Tomcat and MySQL is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint or Power Platform is considered an asset.
Experience in technical training or user support is considered an asset. Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
Ability to integrate an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team;
Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;
Excellent Team Player
Ability to understand, speak and write in English (B1/B2). French B1 will be an advantage;
High degree of discretion and integrity is required EXTRA INFORMATION
